Cindy's Antique Quilts

Offering this hard to find quilt pattern, called Chinese Lanterns. It is a pattern designed by Hubert Ver Merhen in the 1930's, one of the early quilt designers. The patterns was marketed through the Home Art Studios.   The quilt is in excellent condition and looks to be unwashed. Wonderful patterns of lanterns with different fabrics and black bases and black handles with black in the corners of the blocks. Love the swirls, diamonds and different designs that make up the lanterns. It is pieced and appliqued.  It is hand quilted at 9 spi. This quilt displays well and has an attractive ice cream cone border. The neat lavender separate binding is stitched on by hand. This is a great quilt to add to a collection. Ohio
