Display of Antique Quilts Beacon Blankets

Amethyst Antique Quilt- Blue and White SOLD

(Item: Q-833)

This visual blue and white quilt,,, which I was calling diamonds and stars, until I found the quilt pattern name of Amethyst.. A super neat pattern and with the 2 shades of blue with white. The quilt is in excellent condition. It is also all hand quilted at 7 spi. Love the quadruple border too that sets off the design. The binding was done by bringing the front forward and stitching it down by hand on the frontside. Made by Mary English of Rebublic , Ohio in the 1930's. I had another one of her quilts that was signed and dated. This pattern is a Kansas City Star pattern published on 2-7-31 or also called Star Diamond in the Needlecraft publication in 1932. Ohio

Circa:  1930's
