Ohio Rose Applique With Flying Geese Borders- Mint(Item: Q-811)
Check out this unusual setting for an Ohio Rose applique quilt, in that the use of the flying geese borders were used for sashing and 2 borders on the sides. Almost set in a strippie style with the 2 rows of big blocks. An 8 block pattern of applique and pieced work. The quilt is in unused mint condition. Looks to have never been washed. Note the 2 different colored threads used for quilting. All hand quilted at 7-8 spi and the applique is also done by hand. A nice neat green binding was stitched on by hand. Fabrics of green, madder, double pinks and more. Displays well and can be shown in so many ways. New York estate.
