Strippie Rose Vine with Border Quilt-- SOLD(Item: Q-771)
This interesting pattern,,, a strippie with flowers and vines and an applique of red and green in the strips and the border, so called it a Strippie Rose Vine. Actually couldn't find a published name for this pattern. It must have been published, as I have another quilt quite similar to this also on the web site, Q-754 in Gallery 1. This quilt is in very good condition and is ready to enjoy. It is finely hand quilted at 10 spi. There is tulip quilting patterns in the alternate strips of the quilt. The applique is stitched on by hand and well done. For the binding the front is turned to the back and hand stitched down. Lots of applique , as the red and green pieces are appliqued on the ground. This quilt originated out of Indiana,,, and the other quilt listed on the web site is also from Indiana. Curious if the 2 quilts came from the same family. Indiana.
