Cindy's Antique Quilts

Offering this wonderful pictorial crib quilt with a soldier boy, Dutch girl, flowers, pigs, ducks and more. The condition of the quilt is excellent.  It has a nice scalloped border. The hand quilting is very nicely done at 9-10 spi.  The quilting on the edge was done with white thread and the quilting in the body of the quilt was done with blue thread. This was a kit quilt from the 1940's and may be a Progress or Paragon kit.  The applique work is also very well done and nicely stitched.  Note in the images how the binding/edge treatment was done. The edge was a knife edge with the strip of white binding-like appliqued on the top. Not often finished out this way. Acquired in Az.
