1921 Pendleton Indian Trade Banket/Shawl -- SOLD(Item: B-668)
This is an excellent condition Pendleton Indian trade blanket. It is really considered a shawl and the fringe is in great condition. Generally these were worn by the women and they were usually square blankets, as this is 68x68. This blanket has deep strong colors of red, blacks, greens. The original Pendleton label is attached as shown. The blanket would have been well cared for , as it appears to be unused. It is wool and the measurements do not include the fringe. There is a blanket similar to this in the book Language of the Robe by Bob Kaupon on page 56. Displays well.
