Cindy's Antique Quilts

This is an excellent handsome-looking Beacon Indian blanket. It is cotton and has the popular predominant colors of red, bue and green. The 2 ends are self bound. This is a blanket that has a great feel and has lots of body and is a good thickness. A great looking blanket that is ready to enjoy. There's a blanket of this pattern in the book "Beacon Blankets Make Warm Friends" by Brownstein. It's on page 130 upper right. It notes in the book "This Indian design was originally produced in the 1930's as an Ombre but this particular blanket is not an Ombre." This a great reference book for Beacon blankets and has lots of pictures. This is a super nice blanket.
