Primrose Wreath Quilt- Marie Webster design-SOLD

(Item: Q-633)
This is one super Marie Webster pattern quilt, the Primrose Wreath, that has fantastic workmanship. It is signed and dated also, to add to its appeal. The fine hand quilting is at 13-14 spi and fine applique too! The separate green binding is stitched on by hand. The flowers are made of of 2 shades of lavender and the green stems. Condition is excellent. The size is very generous ,, 81x91 inches. A pretty wreath of flowers and a border of applique flowers that is softly scalloped. Marie Webster quilts are very desirable and this one has the quality to match. On the back attached and stitched on a separate cloth is: Jessie Ringrose Carson 1932 Made for Jane Lehner Hawkins. For more information on Marie Webster quilts, a good book with a wealth of information is: Marie Webster's Garden of Quilts by Rosiland Webster Perry and Marty Frolli.
