Four Crosses Signature Quilt Top- Attached Names -SOLD

(Item: QT-625)
This Signature quilt top is in very good unwashed condition. The names of many women are attached to the center of the blocks. There are 25 blocks and 24 have names, a couple are just partial names. This friendship top may have been women who were part of a group of quilters, family, or neighborhood friends. I am unsure of this pattern name but found one similar called Brick Pavement. Both hand and machine pieced. One of the names attached is Mrs Adassa Johnson which on the back of the paper is Indiana, Pa., another Mary et Johnson, Carrie Bostic, Rosa Huey, Emme Bostic, Anna Yuller, Nann Louis, Mrs Powel, Presilla Bowder and more. This might be an interesting one to research. Lots of old fabrics too. Acquired in Ohio.
Circa:  1890-1900
