This attractive yellow and white quilt has pieced 2 color baskets and the birds and the handles are appliqued. The basket and birds are machine appliqued with the birds having an embroidery stitch outlining the birds. A nice different border too with the extra stitching and the binding is done in the knife edge style. The yellow is a nice sateen cotton. Condition is mint for this quilt, as it appears was unused and has now had one wet wash. The hand quilting is very good at 8 spi. The different techniques used in making this quilt makes me wonder about the maker. I am not sure if this was a published pattern or one put together from a couple differnt patterns. Note the different activities of the birds, sitting and flying and in different positions on the basket. The quilt came from Indiana.
