Original Crib Double Wedding Ring Quilt(q-419)-Circa 1930's, size 45x51. The condition of this wonderful Missouri crib quilt is excellent with no wear. The size is to scale with the pattern for a crib quilt. A great variety of 30's fabrics including some feedsacks were used in the making of the quilt. It has only had one bath as it appears unused , but there is one slight age? spot, shown, or I would consider it near mint. The quilt has a lovely scalloped border with the points between the scallops. The rings are only 12 inches across and only 3 inches between the center rings. The single arc is only 1 1/2 inchs wide. A soft lavender ground and the backing is the same. For the binding the same lavender fabric was used and was hand stitched on for a fine finish. It is all hand quilted at 7-8 spi and a neat little quilting pattern used in the center. The small wedding ring quilt was hand pieced too. Crib quilts of original size and scale are getting harder to find and this is a charming quilt. Central Missouri area.
