Early 8 Point Star in a Star Quilt(q-308)-Circa 1870's, size 69x89. This wonderful old stars quilt has lots of nice hand
quilting at 9-10 spi. The diamonds making up the star are small. There is also double line quilting in the border
typical of this time period. The condition is excellent with only 3 or 4 diamonds in one star that have slight splits,
pictured. The quilt has had one bath and is fresh and clean. For the binding, the fabric on the back is brought to the
front, hand whipped down, and a neat tiny binding was made. Several fabrics were used for the stars, mostly browns that
are stable. Be sure to look at the closeups and see the quilting. Delaware, Ohio area.
